We are Australia’s leading healthcare innovator.

Navigator Group provides leading end-to-end recovery services for anyone suffering an injury sustained at work or in a motor vehicle accident.

Our services have been developed by medical and psychological experts driven by positive change that supports real people. We take a holistic approach to treat both the body and the mind, supported by our comprehensive knowledge of compensable injury, to deliver optimal outcomes for everyone involved.

Traditional healthcare systems lack a co-ordinated, whole patient approach – resulting in increased costs and delayed recovery

  • Fragmentation in traditional healthcare leads to patient being treated serially rather than with a whole of patient approach

  • Lack of adherence to best practice recovery protocols

  • Incorrect diagnoses lead to unnecessary intervention

  • Neglect in treating the psychological aspects of injury

How We Started

  • Originally founded in 2010 by Dr Ray Wallace and Dr John McMahon ‘Medico Legal Specialists’ who, after conducting 40,000 IME’s thought "There must be a better way”.

  • They identified multiple issues in the current traditional healthcare framework:

    • Patients being treated serially rather than a whole of person approach

    • Incorrect diagnoses led to unnecessary intervention

    • Unnecessary imaging,  unnecessary surgery and excessive passive treatment

    • Failure to address the psychological aspects of physical injuries

    • Lack of adherence to best practice recovery protocols and oversight of patient programs

They set out to design a model to support patients and healthcare providers that included:

    • High potency, low-cost interventions

    • Simplified programs for patients and their health practitioners

    • Easier access to clinicians and counsellors

    • A department dedicated to research and innovation
Incorporated use of sophisticated technology and data
